3 Things I have learned since starting Lake Chelan Mobile Massage: 1. I love being my own boss 2. It's true that if you love what you do it never truly feels like work. 3. The sky is the limit!! . . . I could go on and on. I have learned so many things since starting my own business. I have made A LOT of mistakes! But really, the mistakes are when we learn the most. I think the biggest thing to note is that I have realized that I can create what ever life I want. No one has put a ceiling on me. Isn't that the truth? . . . I feel like this is a quote that we hear all the time. Time is a concept I have ALWAYS struggled with. Anyone else? Or just me? I have to write it all out. Even then I'm not always successful. But I do know that if there is something important to me I have to put it in my calendar or it NEVER happens. . . . This is especially important with self-care. Especially for MOMs!! Am I Right?! We are always putting ourselves on the back burner. Making sure the kids have everything they need and the house is kept up (is it ever though?). They we fall into bed at the end of the day exhausted. If your like me you feel like you got nothing done. Take some time at the beginning of the day to schedule time for yourself. EVERYDAY. This guy right here is my best friend. We need to take more pictures together but so far this is my absolute favorite! Last Sunday, Nov. 11th, was our 7th anniversary. Can you believe that? So to celebrate we are going away this weekend, by ourselves, with NO children! What?! A quick shout out to the family that will be helping with those children, THANK YOU! I'm not good at being away from them for days at a time but I have to say I am so excited to have some down time and some one on one time with this guy. . . My son asked me what we are planning to do. My response, Absolutely nothing! The only thing on our addenda is to drink wine and sit in the hot tub. . . When you get away what do you do? Do you do nothing and relax? Or do you want to see and do everything?
We have a lot of personal growth books. They have sat on book shelves or boxes for the last couple of years. Recently I just realized how much I missed being on the journey of personal growth. It's not just for those that are in a specific business or for business owners or for people in school. I believe personal growth is for everyone that wants to be a better human! . . I am currently reading John Maxwell's, "The 15 invaluable Laws of Growth". I just picked it up and brushed the dust off so I'm not too far into it but I am really enjoying it! John goes back to the beginning of his personal growth journey and when he discovered it will be a lifelong process that he craved. . . Are you a reader? What do you do to learn and/or grow yourself?
